Device Fitting

  1. The process of fitting hearing devices begins with the most precise hearing test possible. The child is referred for the creation of custom ear molds, which are essential for fitting the device with a very high level of accuracy and customization.

  2. Following this, a frequency-specific hearing test is performed separately for each ear (right and left). In some cases, an additional objective test, such as BERA (Brainstem Evoked Response Audiometry), is required at the hospital. Once a comprehensive audiological profile is obtained, the process of fitting the devices to the child begins, tailored to the severity and type of hearing loss.

  3. Each child has the opportunity to try several models over a trial period of two weeks per model, during which functional testing with the devices is conducted. At the end of the trial period, the family, in consultation with our audiology team, will decide on the optimal device for the child.

  4. Purchase of the chosen device is made directly through the relevant supplier, with partial or full funding provided by the Ministry of Health.
