We provide every child with the opportunity to try a wide range of devices (from multiple manufacturers) approved by the Ministry of Health, including Phonak, Oticon, Siemens, and BAHA. The devices are, of course, tailored to various hearing needs.
The devices are calibrated based on a hearing test conducted at our audiology clinic, and occasionally using a BERA test. Device calibration and advanced testing are performed separately in the fitting room at Micha. We offer the possibility to try both conventional behind-the-ear hearing aids and bone-anchored hearing devices, depending on the type of hearing loss and the recommendations of our audiology team. Following the fitting process and after adapting to a permanent device, it is also possible to try complementary accessories, such as a personal FM system, through our clinic.
Our audiology team is highly familiar with and skilled in working with a wide variety of devices and maintains continuous contact with manufacturers to ensure the best fit for each child. It is worth noting that children who do not benefit from hearing aids and are referred for cochlear implant surgery can use a temporary device from our Device Bank during the waiting period for the procedure. Our team will guide and support the family throughout the process as needed.
